Homemade candy
Very often in the recipes of mastic met the question about what the marshmallows and where to get it, so I decided to share a simple recipe for manufacturing in the home. Candy delicious by themselves, can also serve as a basis for candies and cakes a La "bird's milk".

Ingredients

  • Gelatin

    10 g

  • Water

    130 ml

  • Sugar

    250 g

  • Honey

    20 g

  • Egg white

    3 piece

  • Vanilla sugar

    0.5 tsp

  • Powdered sugar

    50 g

  • Corn starch

    40 g

Cooking

Gelatin pour a small amount of water and give to swell, later, if you still have extra water, it will need to drain

Boil water in a saucepan, add sugar and honey, after the appearance of the first bubbles to cook over medium heat for 8 minutes

While the syrup cooks, beat with a mixer proteins in the persistent foam

Remove the syrup from heat, immediately begin to beat with a mixer, gradually adding the whites of

Add the gelatin and vanilla sugar, continue whisking to cool the mixture, it only takes 2-3 minutes

Pour into mold with a parchment (can be divided into parts and tint juice or food coloring) and put in the fridge for 2 hours to solidify (the mass hardens, but it will be very sticky)

The cured workpiece to turn on a Board dampened with water or covered with plastic wrap, the outer side of the parchment lightly sprinkled with water and shoot (it's surprisingly easy)

The knife dipped into hot water and slice the workpiece into small pieces (I got more than 30 pieces), carefully roll the pieces in a mixture of starch and powdered sugar. The candies are ready, they can be eaten immediately or stored up to seven days in an airtight container.

Ready candy can be, with skewers, dip in chocolate icing, put on parchment until the glaze. The result is a candy "bird's milk" (my husband ate 15 pieces and said that it is very tasty, but a little :-D )
