Casserole in Basel
Every year in Switzerland is one of the most unusual carnival of modern Europe – Basel. A three-day celebration, in fact, similar to our Mardi Gras happens in February days, when spring is beginning to win back their positions. Baselice forward to this holiday 362 days a year... ...But the clock struck four times. Throughout the city, suddenly, the lights went out, and all of the lanes began to sound flutes, flashed and moved the Carnival. Floated above the audience, giant lanterns-Laterne, and participants Shine with costumes, masks painted on their heads glowing lanterns. Driving around the city the procession and the handing out carts with branches of Mimosa, Mandarin, oranges and sweets... And how do you want from grey Nov, at least for the moment, to get to this fabulous farce!..

Ingredients

  • Yolk egg

  • Sugar

    2 Tbsp

  • Flour

    1 cup

  • Mandarin

    3 piece

  • Prunes

    70 g

  • Vegetable oil

    1 tsp

  • Bread crumbs

    1 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Vanilla

Products. In advance take out from the fridge the butter to become soft. The original recipe used raisins, but I happily replaced it with prunes (forgive me basely!)

Butter, egg yolks, sugar and a dash of salt

toss in the flour. I took about 5/6 cups and added vanilla on the tip of a knife. Stir.

Prunes cut into pieces the size of a highlight, approximately.

Tangerines clean, disassemble into slices. A few cloves postpone for decoration, the rest cut with a sharp knife into halves.

And added to the batter along with the prunes. Stir. I should note that this process has caused me some difficulties, because the batter is quite thick. After a brief hesitation laid all the instruments and mixed the mass with his hands, trying to crush the tangerines.

The baking pan should be lightly greased with vegetable oil and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Put in it the resulting mass, decorate with remaining Mandarin slices, slightly pushing them into the dough.
