Description

Potato pancakes with onion surplus
This variation on the classic potato pancake. I love fried onions, so this option really appealed to me. Onions add a slight sweetness and enhances the taste of potato pancakes. And in combination with coarse salt and sauce - generally a fairy tale!

Ingredients

  • Potatoes

    500 g

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Garlic

    4 tooth

  • Flour

    4 Tbsp

  • Potato starch

    1 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Sunflower oil

Cooking

step-0
I cooked a half portion. Onions and garlic peel. Onion cut into slices, rings not necessary to disassemble.
step-1
Potatoes peel and grate on a coarse grater, garlic - into small. Cover with foil to keep the potatoes not darkened. I have got a starchy variety of potato, so juice it is practically not allowed. Add the flour, starch, pepper and a little salt, mix thoroughly.
step-2
The pan pour sufficient quantity of sunflower oil.
step-3
In a pan, place a slice of onion and top the potato mixture. To pin down.
step-4
It's more convenient to separately form a potato cake and put it on top of the onions.
step-5
Fry both sides on medium heat until Golden brown. Optionally, you can briefly boil under the lid.
