Pearl barley porridge with meat in the pot
For lovers of a hearty barley eat cereal for Breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • Pearl barley

    1 cup

  • Meat

    350 g

  • Carrots

    2 piece

  • Bow white

    1 piece

  • Zucchini

    0.5 piece

  • Garlic

    3 share

  • Mustard

    1 tsp

  • Sour cream

    2 Tbsp

  • Vegetable oil

  • Butter

    90 g

Pearl barley soak overnight (minimum 3 hours). Then put on to cook for 20 minutes. The meat is cut into cubes.

Onion half-rings. In hot oil fry the onion until Golden brown. On the edges put the meat. After the appearance of Golden brown the meat, add the carrots and stir. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Cut the zucchini cubes and add to the meat. Simmer another 5 minutes.

Mix the sour cream+a little water (to bring to the consistency of yogurt), salt, pepper, mustard.

Cooked meat with vegetables mixed with barley and place in the pots (I have pots of 0.5 liters). Push one clove of garlic in each pot. Pour the sour cream with spices. Put bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 40 min. Add a piece of butter into each pot and forget 10 minutes in the oven. Instead of butter you can sprinkle with cheese. I didn't have one.
