Description
Spaetzle (literally "Sparrow") is a German noodle. The national dish of the Swabians (Swabian Administrative district in Bavaria, Germany). The first mention of the dish (Wasserspatzen) dates back to the 18th century. Spatzle serves of different length and thickness. Options many of the dishes: lentils with sausage; baked with cheese (in my recipe); sauerkraut and bacon; there is even a sweet version of "Apple Spatzle" to list. So even the most ardent the fussiest of eaters will be able to choose a dish to their liking.

Cooking
The products required. In this recipe I only use one kind of cheese – Emmentaler. But one of these times it can be a little. Moreover, in Germany, whence came the recipe, most commonly mixed cheese, Emmentaler (in Russia it is most often referred to simply as Emmental) hard Alpine cheese Bergkaese.
The first part. Spatzle. With a mixer mix the flour, sunflower oil, water, eggs, salt.
At the same time it is necessary to put a pot of water on the fire. The pan must be relatively large. In order: 1) easier to work with "float" and 2) to Spaetzle don't stick together. As soon as the water boils, start working. Salt water. And set "float" to Spetzle.
In this photo you can see a variety of accessories for making Spatzle. No. 1 – potato press. No. 2 – ordinary grater. I have deliberately placed the spatula to make it clearer how to use the grater. Grater is best to take a flat (I have it bulk). Then it's easier to work. In fact, the option of a grater not too comfortable. Therefore, it is better to use when other equipment is not at hand. No. 3 - Spaetzlehobel, if translated literally, the "Plane for spatzle".
I stayed for 4 version. I think that it is most convenient. It is easier to work and less dirt. Spaetzlesieb – literally, "a bolt for spatzle".
Gently and slowly work with the dough. A plastic "spatula" to spread the dough on the steel Board.
To Spetzle not stuck, it should be a little stir. Literally 3-5 minutes Spatzle ready.
With a slotted spoon put the first batch in a baking dish. Repeat step 7. The smaller the pot, the more "approaches" must be made. Haste is not necessary. If you try to cook Spatzle one "way" in the end we can get one solid sticky lump.
The second part is the "Meat". Of course, both the first and the second part can be performed simultaneously. It all depends on how much you have assistants. In any case, practically a ready-made meal there will be an additional bake in the oven. So if Spaetzle to cool a bit, then it's not scary. So, cut the "cubes" the Turkey, tomatoes, onion, grate cheese.
Put the frying pan on the heat and fry onion until Golden brown. Turn on the oven.
Tomatoes. Add salt, pepper and other spices to taste. You can add a little sour cream.
Literally in 5 minutes the dish is ready. Place it in a baking dish. You can "butcher row" to mix with Spetzle. Or write: the first layer – Spetzle, the second "Meat". In conclusion, it is important dish sprinkle with grated cheese. In my opinion, cheese 75g is the minimum.
Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes. My oven is quite weak, I put on 250 degrees. But I think that the average temperature is about 200 degrees. The dish is ready when the cheese has become Golden brown.
