Tortillas with cheese and herbs on the grill
What could be better than freshly baked bread? Only freshly baked bread on the fire! How to make delicious flavorful tortillas on the grill here. Take the idea and go on a spring picnic!

Ingredients

  • Water

    300 g

  • Flour

    500 g

  • Honey

    1 tsp

  • Yeast

    1 tsp

  • Salt

    1 tsp

  • Olive oil

    3 Tbsp

  • Basil

    1 Tbsp

  • Oregano

    0.5 tsp

  • Goat cheese

    150 g

Cooking

Take 300 grams of warm boiled water.

Add 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of yeast and 3 tablespoons flour. Stir well.

Cover with plastic film and leave the dough in a warm place for half an hour.

Sift the flour.

Grate cheese on a coarse grater. Cheese is good to take aromatic, for example goat or home. Prepare herbs. Basil and oregano are mandatory!

Knead the dough from sourdough, flour, salt and olive oil. At the end of kneading, add the cheese with herbs. The batter should be quite dense, so we will have to roll into pellets.

Grease the dough and the container, put the batter into a jug, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. You can let rest the dough in the heat for a couple of hours, but "night" dough, long past the final degree of fermentation in the cold much tastier.

Coming up abenaim dough, divide into 12 (more or less) pieces and roll out tortillas.

Tortillas are pretty thin - about 3-4 mm. thick.

And now you have three options on how to proceed. 1) Pellet can immediately take with them for further cooking. 1-2 hours (if warm) they are suitable and can be fried. 2) let the Cakes come a little 30 minutes, and then freeze. When you decide to go on a picnic, take them with you. On the road they will be unfrozen and you will be able to fry them. 3) If you are lucky and you have a garden with a barbecue, heat coals and start the most enjoyable process!
