The recipe for this cookie originally from the Piedmont (Italy) has more than a hundred years, and he was invented by the chef of the Savoy dynasty. According to legend, one day the first king of Italy Victoria Emmanuel II (Vittorio Emanuele II) asked his cook to prepare him something for dessert that is different from the conventionally known types of cookies.
