Cologne pea soup or Ähzesupp. This soup is very popular with the old traditions of the Rhineland, without it can not do any carnival in Cologne, nor any other street party, it can be bought at almost any corner. This soup has long been prized by the Housewives especially during the harvest because it does not require much fuss to prepare. Nourishing and delicious soup, it is one of ten traditional dishes of Cologne specialities.

Ingredients

  • Pork

  • Bacon

    200 g

  • Peas

    500 g

  • Potatoes

    5 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Carrots

    2 piece

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

  • Marjoram

    1 tsp

  • Black pepper

  • Thyme

  • Salt
