Summer cake with caramel crust
This simple cottage pie becomes incredibly interesting thanks to the caramelized crust of sugar cane.

Ingredients

  • Black currants

    0.5 cup

  • Gooseberry

    1 cup

  • Flour

    1.25 piece

  • Brown sugar

    1 piece

  • Brown sugar

    2 Tbsp

  • Yogurt

    1 piece

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Vanilla

    0.5 tsp

  • Cinnamon

    1 piece

  • Leavening agent

    1 tsp

  • Soda

    1 piece

  • Butter

    1 Tbsp

  • Vegetable oil

    2 Tbsp

Cooking

1. Berries wash and peel from the stems.

2. Mash the egg with the brown sugar, add the yogurt (or sour cream, yogurt), both types of oil.

3. Pour the sifted flour, baking powder, soda, vanilla, cinnamon.

4. Stir in part of the berries into the dough.

5. Pour the batter into a greased form. On top spread the remaining berries and lightly press into the dough.

6. Sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons of Demerara sugar. The sugar will melt and become caramelizing.
