Description

Little pickled onions-2
Another interesting snack recipe. I have already posted the recipe for pickled onions, this option is less acute, because the marinade consists of vinegar and olive oil in equal proportions. Option # 1 will add to the options. The recipe is from the book "the Secrets of canning& quot; there it was called "Antipasti from the bow".

    1 kg

  • Vinegar

    500 ml

  • Olive oil

    500 ml

  • Sugar

    50 g

  • Salt

    1 Tbsp

  • Pepper white

    2 Tbsp

  • Bay leaf

    2 piece

Cooking

step-0
Here we use such a small bow. At the cottage we have just the onion only grows to this size )), just what is needed in our case. In principle, you can use onion seedlings, which are sold for planting.
step-1
So, bow sort, take only healthy, whole onions. Throws them in boiling water (NOT pre-CLEANED), bring to a boil.
step-2
After boiling, throws the onions in a colander and immediately place in cold water.
step-3
In cold water peel the onion from the husk, cut off the bottom of each onions and cross cut in the top. Water change and leave the onions in cold water.
step-4
Prepare the marinade. Vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and Bay leaf to boil.
step-5
Add to marinade in olive oil and onions. Cover and let stand at low heat for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and leave under cover until the next day.
step-6
The next day, take out onion with a slotted spoon and place it in a small sterile jars. Marinade bring to the boil and fill them with the onion. Glass jars with sterile lids. In the book it was written that the workpiece is stored 12 months at a temperature 1-18 ° C. So I decided to store in the refrigerator, in the pan for vegetables, small jars and place to take a little bit. I did half portions, get 3 small jars.
step-7
This bow is good to use as a snack with meat, very tasty with warm (or reheated in the toaster) black bread with a crispy crust. Among the guests makes a real sensation, because, in principle, this snack is not very common and familiar. Bon appetit!
