Description
I really love Basil. Basil belongs to the mint family of herbs used as seasoning to many dishes. Fresh Basil has a bright flavor that can be described as a cross between licorice and cloves. Basil is considered an aphrodisiac, yet they treat colds, which is very important in the autumn time of year. Recently read, "that the beneficial properties of Basil are still not fully understood, but, for the most part, they are due to high percentage of essential oil that gives this plant such a spicy aroma and taste." Recently discovered the Basil (just add green) to sweet baked goods. It matches perfectly with the pear cake. Don't believe? Welcome aboard!!!

Cooking
Put in a bowl the eggs with the brown sugar, vanilla and pinch of salt.
Put it in a water bath on low heat for 10 minutes, beat with a mixer until the air cream.
Remove the bowl from the water bath and stir the mixture with a whisk until it has cooled.
Wash the Basil leaves and chop.
Add the flour and starch, stirring from the bottom up.
Then add the melted butter.
Add the Basil to the dough and mix thoroughly.
Peel pears, remove core, slice thin.
Form size (preferably 22 cm, I was 26), brush with oil and sprinkle with flour, put the dough in it and tap lightly on the table so that the dough is evenly distributed. Lay the pear slices fanned on top of the cake. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
