Beet pancakes
Beet pancakes - a traditional dish of Belarusian cuisine. Unusual red pancakes stuffed with meat suitable for the daily menu and festive table. If you want to surprise your loved ones, prepare these amazing pancakes.

Ingredients

  • Beets

    200 g

  • Milk

    400 ml

  • Flour

    2 cup

  • Sugar

  • Buckwheat

Beets wash, brush with vegetable oil, wrap in foil and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about half an hour. Readiness check with a toothpick to cool. After cut into cubes, put them into a blender, add 200 ml milk and grind to a smooth consistency.

Beet put a lot into the bowl of a mixer, add the remaining milk, sugar, salt, fermented baked milk, stir on low speed until smooth.

Add eggs, mix well.

Gradually add the flour and knead homogeneous dough. Ready dough leave for 20 minutes and then add 2 tbsp oil, mix well.

On a well-heated pan pour a little vegetable oil, then pour a little of the dough and fry the pancakes. Grease the pan just before baking the first pancake, then this is not necessary, since the pancakes do not stick, and well turned over.

For the stuffing onion cut into cubes. Pre-boil the buckwheat to make porridge crumbly. Meat boil until tender. On a heated pan pour 2 tbsp oil and fry onions until Golden brown.

To the onions add the cooled meat and buckwheat mix. Add the cream, stir. After a few minutes add the finely chopped herbs, mix well and turn off the heat.
