Useful scones to sourdough
If you grow a starter home, then maybe you face the same problem as me: it grows and increases in volume, and it is necessary constantly for something to use, and the bread oven is not always desirable. In such cases I have a few recipes, and one of them today I want to share with you.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    100 g

  • Wholegrain wheat flour

    130 g

  • Leavening agent

    1.5 tsp

  • Salt

    0.5 tsp

  • Brown sugar

    50 g

  • Butter

    100 g

  • Oat flakes

    50 g

  • Cream

    50 ml

  • Sourdough

    240 g

  • Dried fruits

    170 g

  • Chicken egg

Mix the flours, sugar and baking powder. If you flour not self-raising, just add an additional 1 tsp of baking powder to normal. I have all the spoons without slides. Pound flour into crumbs with cold butter. Crumbs about the size of a small pea.

Then add dried fruit and cereal. Mix to the dried fruit evenly distributed in the flour.

Now pour here our leaven and cream and knead a little the dough feels sticky. Knead it! Just collect into a ball that the pieces stay together.

Spread the dough on podpylenny flour on the table and formed a circle with a thickness of about 3 cm, just pressing down and exactly the edge of the hands. With a sharp knife cut it into segments, lay them on a baking sheet, grease with beaten egg (this is optional, I did not grease). Put in preheated oven and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes until Golden brown. (to rasstegivat before baking them is not necessary). Important: to scones were crumbly, the temperature of the oven should be 200-210С (in my oven this is gas 6).

Scones are traditionally served with butter or very fatty (50% or more) cream, called clotted cream, and jam.
