Description

African bobotie with an Australian accent
The site already has the recipe for bobotie, but the only common ingredient in it is meat. I am generally pretty lazy housewife, but I love to eat out. But the dishes do not like at all. The beauty of this dish is that it is cooked all in one dish. Well, it's delicious! The dish is originally from South Africa, but a recipe shared with me a familiar Australian, and the meat I have Australian, hence the accent :)

Cooking

step-0
In fact, everything is, well, very simple! Put the oven to warm up immediately, so you do not have to wait. Finely, finely chop the onion.
step-1
On a coarse grater three big delicious Apple
step-2
Prepare a bowl with a volume of 1.5-2 liters, which is not afraid to put in the oven. I took a plain glass bowl for the salad :). Take the ready-made stuffing - that he's kind of handsome, or them a pound of good beef or lamb and put it in a bowl.
step-3
Two slices of savoury crumble bread, soak in a glass of milk or cream. Then squeeze the bread and there, in the bowl with the meat. Milk does not pour!
step-4
In the same bowl toss whole raisins, chopped onion and grated Apple. Raisins can you not pre-soak.
step-5
Salt, pepper to taste, add 2 tablespoons of powder or curry paste.
step-6
Everything is very well-kneaded handles to obtain a homogeneous mass, and slightly and press it, smoothing the surface. Got this beauty.
step-7
In a bowl with milk, in which we soaked the bread beat two eggs, add salt and stir until smooth. If the bread crumbs don't matter.
step-8
Pour this filling on top of meat mixture. Top artistically put Laurel leaves. I have a little bit disabled, but the other was not. If you really want, you can sprinkle chopped nuts or almond leaves. I don't like nuts, so without them.
step-9
Take a large deep pan, pour water, put a bowl of meat in this design and send for an hour in a hot oven, with a temperature of about 180 degrees. While the bobotie is baking, cook regular rice, best in fresh - for garnish
step-10
After an hour take out of oven, give a little stand up, literally 5-10 minutes. This dish is great to cut with a knife, the fork easily crushed on maaalenkoe juicy pieces.
step-11
All the dish is ready. Serve with boiled rice or potatoes-mashed potatoes and if you are lucky to buy or even make your own peach chutney. Its sweet-spicy taste very well set off this dish.
