Cod in carrot juice
This is a recipe of modern "Books about tasty and healthy food". The fish turns out tender, with a slight carrot flavor, a nice orange hue and not at all dry!) Prepare it with mashed potatoes and greens - it's delicious and healthy!

Ingredients

  • Cod

    600 g

  • Carrot juice

    200 ml

  • Lemon

    1 slice

  • Butter

    50 g

  • Bay leaf

    1 piece

  • Allspice

    3 piece

  • Salt

Squeeze carrot juice (it took me 4 carrots to get 200 ml of juice). But you can buy ready, but take it without sugar.

Pour the juice in a pan, add butter, Bay leaf, lemon wedge, pepper and salt. A little warmed, to the melted butter.

Put cut on portsionny pieces cod.

Cover with a lid and stew for 10 minutes on minimum heat. Turn the cod pieces and simmer for another 5 minutes. Try and, if necessary, doselevel. Ready!

Here I want to share with You my secrets, maybe they are for someone really not secrets, but suddenly come in handy)) Hot potato I'm not diluted with milk and heated cream 10% fat. In General, the higher the fat content of the cream, the tastier, but not everyone can afford it (for health reasons, for example). Put like all butter. Then fray the already mashed potatoes through a sieve. Of course, this process is tedious, and not always the hostess has time for that, but if You take the time... Mashed potatoes will be tender!) Ready puree very well sprinkle with dill or parsley - especially if served on a hot fish. I would be glad if someone of chefs will be useful to my tips!) Eat health!)
