Wreath with walnuts
Airy yeast dough with almond filling, lemon icing and jam.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    350 g

  • Milk

    240 ml

  • Sugar

    40 g

  • Butter

    50 g

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Salt

    1 piece

  • Lemon

    1 piece

  • Marzipan

    200 g

  • Nuts

    200 g

  • Cinnamon

    2 tsp

  • Jam

    100 g

  • Powdered sugar

    100 g

  • Almonds

  • Yeast

    25 g

Prepare yeast dough: warm the milk put the yeast with sugar, stir, add flour, butter, salt, and lemon zest. Cover with a towel and put in a warm place for 45 minutes. Then carefully knead and set aside for another 10 minutes. while the dough rises, prepare the filling: to prepare the marzipan ( if you have it ready, might as well use it), mix with milk and cinnamon until smooth. All the stuffing is ready.

The finished dough roll into a rectangle measuring 30 cm by 40 cm Spread it evenly with the walnut filling, roll roll and put in a pre-greased ring cake pan, lightly crush with your hands and leave for another 15 minutes to rise. Bake 50-55 minutes in preheated to 180 gr. the oven.

Jam, slightly warm, coat them in a wreath and dry.

Powdered sugar mix with lemon juice (you can add a bit of water) and cover with this mixture the wreath. Decorate with almonds or chopped nuts.
