Meatless sauerkraut stew
For a long time I was looking for the same taste, which is remembered since school. And after all these years found! I want to share with You. I think the Lord vegetarians and fasting option will have to taste.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage

    400 g

  • Mushrooms

    100 g

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Vegetable oil

    2 Tbsp

  • Sugar

    2 piece

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Onion

  • Tomato paste

Cooking

Cabbage, if it is from the market, wash. To put in heated thick-walled dishes with heated vegetable oil.

Add the mushrooms. Can be pickled, pre-washed and fresh. I used frozen mushrooms.

Add grated on a coarse grater carrots, chopped spring onion strips. Optionally you can also add pickled cucumber.

To stew a bit. Add tomato paste and sugar. Salt and pepper to taste. I salt not added - and so lacking in cabbage. Over low heat and forget for 30 minutes. Periodically stir, so as not burnt.

Before serving you can decorate with olives. Can serve as a good side dish for sausages or pork chops. And as a separate dish well. If desired during the cooking time you can add bacon or sausage. Bon appetit!
