Scones with currants
Quick, flavorful and tender, these scones are nice to tuck into on a cool night with a Cup of good tea with friends.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    2 cup

  • Sugar

    0.5 cup

  • Leavening agent

    1 Tbsp

  • Salt

    0.5 tsp

  • Nutmeg

    0.5 tsp

  • Butter

    120 g

  • Black currants

    0.66 cup

  • Milk

    0.5 cup

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

Cooking

Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg in a blender or a food processor (or prepare to chop into crumbs on their own).

Add the butter and mix until fine crumbs.

Add the currants, previously beaten egg and milk. Mix gently.

On heavily floured surface put the dough and roll out to a thickness of 8-10 mm. to be Cut into arbitrary rectangles and lay out on a baking sheet. I got 24 bolocko-cookies.

Bake at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes until Golden brown.
