Most of Russians believe that "Herring under a fur coat" - their national dish. But, it turns out, the story would seem such a simple salad, it is far from simple. And the imagination of the hostess, cooks - are simply endless! Still, sometimes "coat" with apples, egg and avocado. A vegetarian version of the salad, herring replaced seaweed. I came up under the "fur coat" hide the fish "Solomon", aka the salmon. So... how I made a "Solomon" in a fur coat...

Cooking
First, I cooked the fish. You can do "on the sly";) and buy a ready salted piece of salmon or salmon. And you can pickle yourself, at home. For this I needed: capacity, sea salt (or just salt), olive oil (or vegetable), fish, and 24 hours in the refrigerator.
Then I cook vegetables such as potatoes and beets. Of course, you can boil, but if you can bake, why not do it?;)
Then I shredded all the components of the salad. Salmon - coarsely sliced (of course, removed the bone). Onion finely (I chose red onions for a more delicate taste). And beets and potatoes rubbed on a coarse grater.
Then I put all the ingredients in layers: potatoes, mayonnaise (you can make at home, but I did the "on the sly":)), onion, salmon, potatoes, beets, mayonnaise.
In the end, I covered the salad with a lid and put in the fridge for an hour. And to make a spectacular photo, I'm part of the salad in a glass: beets, mayonnaise, potatoes, salmon, onion, mayonnaise, potatoes. After I turned the glass on a plate, decorated with Parmesan and balsamic vinegar. Here it is:)
