Fish fillet with bananas
This weekend I want to invite You on a little trip to Madeira — this Portuguese island and archipelago located in the Northern part of the Atlantic ocean, approximately 1000 km to the South of Portugal and 500 km West of the African coast with its unique climate (the temperature in the range of 16 °C to 25 °C) and to its extraordinary beauty of flora and fauna has become a very popular holiday destination. A very well-known and culinary traditions of Madeira, the first thing that comes to mind is of course the famous wine - Madeira, the other is a little bananas from Madeira and of course the hospitality of the locals! Today I want to introduce one of the most famous recipes of the inhabitants of this wonderful island. Fish fillet with bananas. :-))))))))))))))

Ingredients

  • Fish

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    3 tooth

  • Banana

    3 piece

  • Chicken egg

    2 piece

  • Lemon juice

    1 cup

  • Black pepper

  • Salt

  • Vegetable oil

We select our fish: black fish sabre or hake or sole (any of the three fish traditionally used in this recipe!).

Fish cut into fillets.

Most marine fish small bones are completely absent, or hardly noticeable, so only remove the spinal bone.

Ready fillet salt, pepper, add finely chopped garlic and pour with lemon juice. So leave to marinate for at least 10 min.

Detachable egg whites from the yolks, whisk whites with a mixer until a froth then mix gently with the yolks. Heat oil for frying in a frying pan, coat the fillets in flour,

then in egg and immediately put on the frying pan.

Fry until Golden brown, then turn over to the other side and also fry.

In the same oil fry the bananas.

All stacked on a nice plate and you're done! The traditional garnish for this dish is called "espargaro" is mashed with a fork boiled potatoes and braised in olive oil, shredded Portuguese cabbage or turnip greens with garlic. You can garnish vegetable salad, dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. As a drink I highly recommend the sangria. (I give the recipe separately) Bon appetit! :-)))
