Bulgaria welcomes its guests cordially. Steep cliffs, dizzying twists and the Black sea. And not just beaches – Golden Sands. This sight leads to love at first sight.
Mountains, sea, clean air born appetite and there are plenty to choose from. Gourmets have long respected the dignity of the Bulgarian cuisine, unanimously agreeing that all its dishes are varied, spicy and delicious. Bulgarian cuisine is a harmonious mixture of traditions from Slavic, Turkish and Greek cookery with a strong influence of national identity of the country. It is also noticeable the influence of Armenian, Italian, Hungarian and Mediterranean tradition of cooking. This fruitful land, sun-drenched, extremely rich in gifts of gardens and fields. Bulgaria is rightly called the land of vegetables. Everything in there: tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, potatoes, cucumbers, carrots, zucchini, cabbage and cauliflower, spices! Serve vegetables in any form: raw, boiled, fried, stewed, pickled. Proud Bulgarian chefs are stuffed vegetables. Bulgarian cooks perfectly combine vegetables with fish, meat, flour and dairy products.
About Bulgaria we've learned a bit, now is the time to try it taste :))) going to make stuffed peppers. Take the white beans of the company "the Mistral". Beans cover with water and boil until fully cooked.
With peppers cut "caps" and remove the seeds from inside the peppers and season with salt and pepper. "Taps" cut into strips.
Potatoes cut into cubes, carrots grate on a grater. Onion and garlic chopped and fry a little. Add the carrots and fry until tender. Beans drain in a colander. In a bowl, mix the potatoes, pepper, beans, thyme and roasted vegetables.
To the vegetables add the breadcrumbs and grated cheese (a little cheese to postpone), season to taste.
Stuff the peppers and place in a form. Sprinkle with cheese, pour in the wine and bake until soft peppers.
Maybe this dish will help someone to revive the memories of your summer trip to Bulgaria, or allow to dream about the future!!!
Bon appetit!!! Up to new meetings!!! The END
