Braised red cabbage
The first commandment about fasting can be called the prohibition of our Lord the forefathers Adam and eve to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Lent is a great opportunity not only to clean your body and spirit, but also to diversify your diet healthy meals from natural products. I propose you a simple recipe that I think will help you with this.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage, red,

    750 g

  • Apple

    4 piece

  • Broth

    125 ml

  • Vinegar

    4 Tbsp

  • Bay leaf

    2 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Jam

    2 Tbsp

  • Grapes

    200 g

Onions and cabbage are cut. I had a cabbage frozen. So I skipped this step. In the frying pan a little vegetable oil and put onions and cabbage. Lightly fry, add the vegetable broth or water and simmer on a slow fire. Add the Bay leaf, and if you want, 2-3 cloves.

Slice apples and add to cabbage.

When the cabbage is almost ready, add the lingonberry jam. A little balsamic or raspberry vinegar, and salt and pepper.

Slice grapes and put it with the cabbage mix. After 2-3 min. remove from heat.
