Pearl porridge
This mess remember all who served in the army. Call it dismissive Kirschau. And for good reason. Peter I, for example, was so fond of barley porridge, which declared her “favorite Romanov”. To “Refine” the Royal favourite, fine ground barley in the XIX century was renamed into “barley”, i.e. “pearl” (from the word “pearl”). Barley contains exactly those dietary fibers, vitamins, macro - and microelements necessary for normal functioning of the body and good health.

Ingredients

  • Pearl barley

    1 cup

  • Potatoes

    1 piece

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Brisket

    100 g

  • Butter

    2 Tbsp

  • Black pepper

  • Garlic

    1 tooth

  • Salt

  • Greens

  • Bay leaf

Pearl barley, best quality, wash and cover with cold water for 12 hours. Krupa from the Mistral, just what you need for cooking delicious meals.

After 12 hours, rinse the groats, pour water in the ratio 2части water and one part grits, put it on a slow fire, NOT SALT! Cook grits on low heat for 1-1,5 hour until espertise all the water. Connect the half cooked grains and vegetables with bacon. Add salt, pepper, add the greens, garlic and chopped lavrushku. Give porridge in a hot oven or on the stove for 15-20 minutes. Give it well to steam. The rest based cereals can be used for preparing other dishes.

Serve "Pearl, rich porridge" as a completely separate dish, and not some garnish or additive to the second dish. This cereal will not give any one soldier. Enjoy!
