Melt butter. To it add the sugar and stir so that the sugar is dissolved. When the mass has cooled down a bit, then add eggs. All mix well. Add vanilla, flour with baking powder. Divide the dough into two parts: one part is (more) directly to the crust on which we put the stuffing. And the second part (less) - for decoration. A large part of the test put into the form.

Put on the dough strawberry jam, top with sprinkle with walnuts (I have them, so may not be seen in the photo). On top of the second part of the test cut strips and stacked them nicely on a cake.

Put the pie in the oven until tender. I check the readiness with a toothpick, if it comes out clean then the cake is ready! A pleasant tea from Nienulka! :-)
