I usually substitute yogurt, low-fat, the effect is the same. Now decided to try to make something like buttermilk. Took milk and added one tablespoon of lemon juice (can use vinegar), you need to wait 10 min. and pseudo-buttermilk ready. The recipe worked perfectly.

Mix the buttermilk (or yogurt), egg, butter. All ingredients at room temperature, it is very important for excellent baking.
