Description
Honestly, I don't really like spices and use them in very small quantities. But, when I baked a lemon cake with rosemary, I thought. If I don't like spices in a hearty food, why not try them in sweet. Suddenly they behave differently. My gaze fell to Basil. And on this day I had planned a rye cake. And here's what happened...

Cooking
Melt the butter, add the honey and dried Basil. To prepare this pie, I chose butter TM "Ecomilk". This oil has long established itself on the market as high quality, therefore, needs no introduction.
While the butter-honey mixture cools, beat the eggs with the sugar until it dissolves and increase the mass in the volume.
In beaten eggs pour in the cooled butter-honey mixture and stir. In this picture you can see dried Basil.
Sift flour with soda and baking powder, stirring gently, add it to liquid ingredients. The batter is thick enough that the spoon is not flowing. In the dough, you can add orange zest, if desired.
Put the dough in the form. I have 18 cm in diameter. You can take the shape of larger diameter then the pie will be lower, but will bake faster. From top to distribute the oranges, cut into slices. Bake at 175 degrees until tender - dry splinter. The time depends on the characteristics of the oven and the diameter of the mold. If the cake burns, but isn't yet ready, you need to cover it with foil.
Ready pie to cool, remove from the mold. It is possible to try. But I advise you to leave at least 12 hours, wrapped in foil, or cover with foil. So it will become even more rich and fragrant.
