Iskander kebab
Iskender kebabi. Kebab means roasted meat, and Iskander – Turkic nickname Alexander the great. Very tasty, hearty dish!

Ingredients

  • Lamb

    500 g

  • Tomato

    2 piece

  • Pepper

    1 piece

  • Tomato paste

    1.5 Tbsp

  • Butter

    1 Tbsp

  • Vegetable oil

  • Yogurt

    1 cup

  • Thyme

    1 tsp

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Flour

    2 cup

  • Yeast

    1 pack

  • Peppers red hot chilli

    0.5 tsp

Cooking

To prepare the dough: sift the flour into a bowl, add the yeast, salt to taste. Gradually infusing the warm water, knead soft dough and put it in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.

Roll out the dough 1 cm thick, spread on a baking sheet and place in oven preheated to 180 degrees. 15-20 minutes (slightly browned).

Mutton washed and cut into thin slices. In skillet, heat oil, fry meat until cooked. Don't forget to salt and pepper.

The finished cake cut into small pieces, put it on plates, put a couple of spoons of yogurt.

Tomatoes (peeled) and sweet pepper cut into small pieces, saute in a separate pan until soft about 8-10 minutes, add salt.

To make the sauce: in a pan mix tomato paste, butter, thyme, salt, black and red pepper, pour a little water and, stirring, heat over medium heat until smooth sauce of medium thickness.

In a bowl on top of the tortillas with yogurt to spread the layers of meat and vegetables, pour over sauce and serve.
