I'm surprised so few on the site recipes canning tomatoes. At my house, for example, a whole book is devoted to methods of preservation of tomatoes alone! I have tried many recipes. Tomatoes tightly, but without fanaticism, put in jars. Pour boiling water, cover with the iron lid and leave for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes drain the water into a saucepan, add salt and sugar, bring to a boil (I wasn't taking pictures because inconvenient :-[ )
Before you pour the boiling brine into jars, add to each: 1 tsp of vinegar.
Roll up covers, flip and leave until cool. To wrap up the banks is not necessary. Store tomatoes at room temperature. Cold they taste better.
