Soup with bulgur and lentils
This delicious soup! Thick, hearty, full-bodied... Definitely try it, especially if you are fasting. But if the post is not met, cook it in meat broth will be even tastier! To prepare this soup on the stove and in the slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • Bulgur

    100 g

  • Lentils

    100 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Pepper

    1 piece

  • Tomato

    400 g

  • Vegetable oil

    2 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Sugar

  • Water

    3 l

  • Cilantro

  • Spices

Cooking

Bulgur and lentils pour in boiling water (or broth) and simmer for 20 minutes.

Onion, carrot and bell pepper cut into cubes and spasserovat in vegetable oil.

Add the tomatoes and stir, saute for 2-3 minutes on low heat.

Put steamed vegetables in the soup, add salt to taste and cook the soup for another 5 minutes. I will add a bit of sugar to balance the tomato acidity. At the end of cooking add to the soup mixture Panch Purna or cumin, a little rubbed spices in a mortar.
