Salad
1 layer - potatoes. 2 layer-onions, finely chopped. 3rd layer - herring. 4 layer - mayonnaise. 5 layer - eggs to RUB on a grater. 6 layer the carrots on a grater grate a little. 7 layer - Beets. 8 layer - mayonnaise

In a large cauldron put the potatoes and carrots, cover with water and boil the vegetables until tender (approximately 20 minutes; the readiness of the test vegetables with a knife or fork).

Separately in a small cauldron put the beets, cover with water and cook until tender (depending on size of beets, this may take approximately 50 minutes; from time to time add some water).

While the vegetables cook, chop the herring fillets into small cubes.

Slice onions into very finely.

Cooked vegetables - potatoes and carrots - peel, grate on a coarse grater. (Beets are still cooking.)

Into a suitable dish put first a layer of grated potatoes (leave a little potato). Generously sprinkle it with chopped onions.

Mayonnaise.

Layer potatoes, onion put chopped herring.

A layer of mayonnaise.

By this time, should boil beets. Cools it (in cold water), cleanse and RUB on a coarse grater.
