Scalzone
Scalzone is lean tender crumbly cookies with walnut filling. The recipe for this cookie I learned thanks to Natasha (natapit). Cooking is very simple, it's delicious.

Ingredients

  • Starch

    2 Tbsp

  • Jam

    5 Tbsp

  • Honey

    3 Tbsp

  • Walnuts

    1 cup

  • Sugar

    0.5 tsp

  • Leavening agent

    0.75 tsp

  • Orange juice

    140 ml

  • Cognac

    80 ml

  • Vegetable oil

    120 ml

  • Powdered sugar

    3 Tbsp

  • Cinnamon

    0.5 tsp

  • Flour

    400 g

From oranges to squeeze the juice. It took me 2 oranges. Combine it with vodka, oil. Add the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and knead the dough. Flour may take a little more. The dough should be soft, pleasant to work with.

Grind nuts in a coffee grinder, mix them with honey, apricot jam and cinnamon. Add the starch.

Divide the dough in about 30 equal parts. Every part of hands to stretch in the shape of a circle not very thin, add 1 tsp of the stuffing.

Close up in the form of dumpling. Fold the sheet and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes at temp. about 180 gr. Be guided by your oven.

Hot cookies, it is recommended to sprinkle flower water, but I was not. Misted boiled water with honey. Cool, sprinkle with icing sugar.
