The miracle cabbage
Good day to all! I want to share with you an interesting recipe of pickled cabbage. I think that this appetizer would be appropriate for everyday and festive table, and on fast days nice variety to your menu! My thanks to the author - Olga Krayushkina.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage

    1 kg

  • Apple

    1 piece

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Carrots

    2 piece

  • Garlic

    1 piece

  • Raisins

    150 g

  • Prunes

    150 g

  • Cranberry

    1 cup

  • Salt

    0.5 Tbsp

  • Water

    0.5 l

  • Sugar

    0.5 cup

  • Vegetable oil

    0.5 cup

  • Vinegar

    0.5 cup

Cooking

Shred cabbage, add salt and mash. I usually cook a small portion of snacks - 250-300 g of cabbage. Onion cut into thin half-rings.

Carrots grate on a coarse grater.

Add to the cabbage and pre-soaked raisins, diced prunes and chopped garlic.

Apple cut into thin strips, add to vegetables, add the cranberry or cranberries. Mix gently

To prepare the marinade: boil water, add salt, sugar and vegetable oil, again bring to boil. Then the marinade remove from heat, add vinegar and again bring to boil. Don't be afraid to try the marinade on the taste, but be careful not to burn. The marinade should be pleasant taste, adjust the amount of salt and sugar to your taste.

Pour the hot marinade into the cabbage and mix. Soak snack day at room temperature, then remove for storage in the refrigerator.

After 2-3 days the cabbage is ready, you can eat.
