Peeled potatoes cut into pillars of salt.
To prepare the batter: dilute the flour in water (I added the egg) until the consistency of thick cream, a little salt.
Heat oil in a cauldron or a deep frying pan. Potatoes dipped in batter and thrown into hot oil, covering with a lid to not spray. Fry on medium heat so that the potatoes are cooked through...
Romantika take out the pieces and lay out on a paper towel or napkin to soak up excess oil.
Serve with pickled cabbage or sauce.
