Layer cake of pita with eggplant and cheese
This is the cake I found in the W Le Deli :) All prepared according to the description :) so you can repeat :) the cake turned out well !!!

Ingredients

  • Pita

    3 piece

  • Cheese

    500 g

  • Eggplant

    4 piece

  • Garlic

    6 tooth

  • Cilantro

    1 coup

  • Tomato

    1 can

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Vegetable oil

Cooking

Each pita bread divided into 3 parts.

Eggplant cut into 0.5 cm slices in and pour salt for 15 minutes, then rinse and dry. Fry both sides and drain off the oil.

Tomatoes are cleaned from skin and crushed

garlic finely chop and fry a minute.

K garlic add tomatoes with juice, pepper and salt. Simmer until thick about 15 minutes.

Cilantro finely chop and add to the tomatoes, stir and remove from heat. Cool.

Cheese or cheese to grate on a coarse grater. Laid alternately on a baking our cake: start with the pita bread + layer of tomato, thinly + slices of eggplant (in the distance, not too close) to pour cheese or cheese (I have cheese and last layer of cheese to brown a pie crust). Each layer of pita bread press lightly with hands, sealing the pie.

The last layer should be of the filling (I really didn't have enough eggplant), because I leveled the cake, I was left with pieces of pita. Here are the pieces I put on the top layer and poured the cheese.

Heat the oven to 190°C. cover the Pie with foil and 20 minutes to bake.

Remove the foil and another 10 minutes - until Golden brown.
