Fish Solyanka
Of course, you can cook a luxury bag, using several kinds of precious fish, but not always and not everyone can afford it. So I want to offer you the option of how to cook a delicious soup with minimal cost.

  • Mushrooms

  • Pickled cucumber

  • Sauerkraut

    2 Tbsp

  • Potatoes

    2 piece

  • Capers

    1 tsp

  • Lemon

    3 slice

  • Tomato sauce

    4 Tbsp

  • Fish

    1 piece

  • Seasoning


I prefer to lead a zero waste economy, so becoming the proud owner of the tail of the Atlantic cod weighing 2.5 kg, immediately decided to cook fish soup. The first thing the fish need to separate the fillet, it has come in handy for other meals. And tail, fins and backbone with the remains of the fish I made broth with the addition of dried roots, Bay leaf and allspice. The broth can be slightly salt. Don't forget that in the future we will use a lot of savory ingredients.
Strain the broth, fish carefully dismantled and cleaned from bones.
Onion and carrot finely chop and fry in mixture of oil and butter.
Cut the potatoes into small cubes. Add to boiling broth.
While the potato is cooking, chop the cabbage, pickled mushrooms and pickled cucumbers into thin slices. Add to saucepan and cook 5-10 minutes. Now it was the turn of fish and sauce. After the last supplements give the stew to simmer for about 5 minutes.
Our anti-crisis Solyanka is ready! Sprinkle with herbs, add the capers and lemon wedge.
The soup is rich, with bright and rich taste! My men appreciated this dish.
