Aromatic shank baked with vegetables
A simple recipe for a delicious shank, which is cooked with vegetables. The result is tender meat, glazed vegetables and a gorgeous sauce.

Ingredients

  • Knuckle

    1 piece

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • The Apium graveolens Dulce

    2 piece

  • Tomato

    2 piece

  • Orange zest

  • Mustard

    1 Tbsp

  • Tomato paste

    1 Tbsp

  • Honey

    1 Tbsp

  • Dry red wine

    0.5 cup

  • Broth

    1 cup

  • Carnation

    4 piece

  • Cinnamon

    1 piece

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Olive oil

    2 Tbsp

Vegetables (onion, carrot, celery, tomato) wash and chop tomatoes.

Mix mustard, tomato paste, honey, a bit of zest, the salt - this will be our glaze.

Be careful not to wash off the glaze, pour the pork knuckle with wine. Add the broth to the vegetables. On top of a little sprinkle with salt and pepper, sprinkle with olive oil. Close the form with a lid or foil and bake at 200 degrees for 3 hours, the last half hour remove the lid to brown the shanks and the sauce thickens. You can also turn the meat to make it beautiful on both sides.
