Maltese casserole
A good dish for a cold time of year - hearty and delicious.

Ingredients

    1 cup

  • Minced meat

    300 g

  • Bacon

    2 slice

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Tomatoes in own juice

    400 g

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Nutmeg

    1 pinch

  • Parmesan

    50 g

  • Olive oil

    1 Tbsp

  • Curry

  • Paprika sweet

  • Salt

  • Sugar

For this dish you need short-grain rice, I used rice "Kuban".

The rice should boil until soft, it took me 10 minutes.

Finely chop the onion, bacon cut into small pieces.

Fry onion and bacon in hot olive oil.

Add the beef, fry it with continuous stirring.

Should get small lumps.

Add to the minced tomatoes in their own juice, season to taste with salt, sugar, add the curry, nutmeg, sweet and smoked paprika.

Simmer until the liquid evaporates and the sauce will not become thick, the time depends on the quality of tomatoes. Remove pan from heat.

Add half the rice, mix well.

Stir well ground and put in a baking dish.
