Pickled beets
Beets belongs to the Botanical family of Chenopodiaceae. The origin of the name of this root crop scientists explain in different ways. In one version, the beets come from Byzantium, where it was called "spekali". On the other - the birthplace of beet - Babylon, the gardens of which grew "silque". The Slavs foreign vegetable reinterpreted in "beet"... so, pickled beets.

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

  • Vegetable oil

    0.5 cup

  • Vinegar

    4 Tbsp

  • Salt

    1 tsp

  • Sugar

    0.5 tsp

  • Black pepper
