Arabic manna
Delicious, crumbly pie on the yogurt with a delicate taste of coconut, soaked in syrup! Preparing this cake for 1-2-3. To the dough I added turmeric to give a pale yellow color.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    100 g

  • Semolina

    150 g

  • Sugar

    170 g

  • Vegetable oil

    150 ml

  • Coconut shavings

    75 g

  • Yogurt

    210 ml

  • Vanilla sugar

    1 tsp

  • Leavening agent

    2 tsp

  • Salt

  • Turmeric

    0.25 tsp

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Water

    100 ml

  • Sugar

    100 g

  • Lemon juice

    3 Tbsp

  • Butter

    10 g

  • Semolina

  • Coconut shavings

    20 g

Cooking

Mix all the dry ingredients: sift flour, semolina, sugar, coconut, vanillin, baking powder and turmeric.

Separately mix the wet ingredients: yogurt, egg, vegetable oil.

Combine both mixtures carefully and all parasivam.

Form grease butter oil and sprinkle with semolina or flour ("French shirt"). Form take most as basbousa should not be high. The size of my forms ~ 35*15 cm Square shall not be less than 25*25 cm

In prepared pan pour the batter. Bake at 180C about 40 minutes. SYRUP: IN a saucepan mix water, sugar and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and cook for another 2 minutes. The finished cake remove from the oven, cut into squares and pour the syrup. On top sprinkle with coconut and allow to cool! BON APPETIT!!!
