Roasted beets-poitevins
Betteraves a la Poitevine. Interesting appetizer where the sweetness of the beets is in total harmony with the piquancy of onions and spices. It's quick and easy.

Ingredients

  • Beets

    2 piece

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Butter

    50 g

  • Flour

    1 Tbsp

  • Black pepper

  • Carnation

  • Nutmeg

  • Ginger

  • Balsamic

    1 tsp

  • Dry white wine

Cooking

Beet wash, peel and cut into fairly large slices. For this dish it is recommended to take sweet varieties of beets.

Onion peel and finely chop.

In a pan melt the butter. Sprinkle onions with flour and cook over medium heat until Golden brown.

Add beets and spices (a pinch each), mix thoroughly.

Fry on low heat for 20-25 minutes until tender beets. In the roasting process, you can add a little white wine or water so that the beets did not become dry. When feeding beets drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
