Description

Orange cantuccini with hazelnuts
Italian, very tasty, twice baked cookies-rusks, biscotti variety, widespread mainly in Tuscany, in the original cantucci with almonds, I suggest to cook it with orange juice, hazelnuts and vanilla, perfect to serve with drinks - coffee, tea, juices and milk! Cookies can be stored long enough for 3 months, so it can be a lot and prepare for the future!

Ingredients

  • Orange

    1 piece

  • Chicken egg

    2 piece

  • Flour

    350 g

  • Sugar

    125 g

  • Vanilla

    0.5 tsp

  • Leavening agent

    0.5 tsp

  • Hazelnuts

    1 handful

Cooking

step-0
The orange clean, free from white veins and seeds, blend;
step-1
Hazelnuts roughly chopped (you can just cut in half), clear is not necessary.
step-2
Beat the eggs with the sugar, while stirring add the orange puree and vanilla;
step-3
Add the sifted flour and baking powder, add nuts and knead the dough (flour may need more or less depending on the amount of received orange puree);
step-4
Cantuccini first formed in the shape of a loaf and placed on parchment on a baking sheet, I just took a rectangular shape, greased with butter and put in the batter;
step-5
Cook at 180 degrees until dry sticks (approximately 15-20 minutes); Remove the "baton", let cool slightly and cut it into slices; put the Slices back on the baking sheet on the parchment and dry it to the desired brown colour on either side;
step-6
To be served as sweet snacks to drinks! My child enjoys them crunches just like that!
