Stew with mushrooms under potato cap
I haven't cooked in pots, and then the contest "Autumn tango" came in very handy. Because of the summer heat, the autumn harvest vegetables small, but it was enough for this wonderful dish. Tender beef, braised in wine, under potato cap.

Ingredients

  • Beef

    400 g

  • Mushrooms

    200 g

  • Carrots

    3 piece

  • Potatoes

    7 piece

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Butter

    35 g

  • Vegetable oil

    2 Tbsp

  • Basil

    1 tsp

  • Milk

    0.25 cup

  • Dry red wine

    100 ml

  • Tomato

    2 piece

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

Cooking

Ingredients.

Finely chop the onion, carrot grate on a coarse grater.

Tomatoes cut into cubes, mushrooms slices.

Beef wash, dry, cut into cubes.

Reheat the skillet, add 1 tbsp oil and a piece of butter. Saute the vegetables over medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Add the beef, increase the heat and cook until the meat becomes brown. Add Basil, salt, pepper.

Pour in the wine, simmer until wine has evaporated by half.

Separately fry in vegetable oil mushrooms. Potatoes cleaned, boil in salted water. Drain the water, add milk and make a puree.

Stew to put in the pots, filling them 2/3 full.

On top lay a layer of mashed potatoes (not regret!), sprinkle with melted butter, smooth or make a fork pattern.

Bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes, until Golden brown. I even held it under the grill for 3-4 minutes.
