Coleslaw Vietnamese style
Another recipe of salad from my favorite collection "Cole slaw". Very unusual, very tasty, slightly spicy edge. Try! Source: magazine "the Deli."

Ingredients

  • Cabbage Chinese

    300 g

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Onion

    0.5 piece

  • Shrimp

    150 g

  • Tomato

    1 piece

  • Cashews

    0.5 cup

  • Ginger

  • Greens

  • Vinegar

    100 ml

  • Sugar

    1 Tbsp

  • Black pepper

    0.5 tsp

Cooking

Chinese cabbage, wash, dry and thinly slice. Put in a salad bowl.

Carrots grate on a coarse grater and add to cabbage.

Onion (but still better red looks prettier) cut into thin half-rings and put into a salad bowl.

Tomato cut into small slices (better cherry cut into 4 pieces).

Take boiled and chilled shrimp.

Cleaned them and put into a salad bowl to the vegetables.

Ginger with a length of about 1 cm peeled and three on a grater. Roasted cashew nuts and chop coarsely with a knife.

Greens in a mixture of Basil, mint and cilantro chop and add to salad bowl.

Pour the previously prepared salad dressing. And mix thoroughly. Unusual and very delicious salad is ready!

PREPARE the FILLING: in the skillet or small saucepan pour in the rice vinegar (can wine), add sugar (preferably brown, but it is possible and normal), a little crushed chili peppers and salt to taste. Put on fire and bring to a boil, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
