Porridge of lentil, bacon and caramelized onions
Persian lentils very much, especially for its velvety structure and quick to prepare. Lentils are good takes the flavor of smoked brisket, and combined with caramelized onions - very tasty and juicy.

Ingredients

  • Vinegar

  • Thyme

  • Sage

  • Water

  • Refined sugar

Take 1/2 onion bulb, finely chop

A mixture of oils - olive 2 tbsp of butter and 10 g. fry until transparent onion and chopped garlic

Then throw the diced smoked bacon (I had bacon, Kaslo, s/K ), put out a couple of minutes

Add the lentils to the onions and bacon, add the sage, thyme, dried to taste, and soy sauce, I add the sauce instead of salt, the main thing - not to overdo, to take into account that the bacon itself is salty a bit. Add water and cook as per instructions on the packet of lentils, about ten minutes

Separately in oil mixture - 10 g butter and 1 tbsp olive sauté thinly sliced onions for 5 minutes, then cover and saute for 10 minutes

Add the sugar, I have a 2 piece sugar and vinegar (this is to taste), I have a few drops on a teaspoon. Should be moderately sweet and moderately sour. I added soy sauce a little bit. About five minutes put out and ready.
