Chickpeas with meat
Atley nohut. Etli nohut is one of the most popular in Turkish cuisine dishes with chickpeas. Hearty and delicious. To serve as a separate dish or with rice.

Ingredients

  • Chickpeas

    250 g

  • Lamb

    300 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Pepper green

    1 piece

  • Salt

  • Peppers red hot chilli

    0.5 tsp

  • Spices

    1 tsp

  • Tomato paste

    1 Tbsp

  • Pasta pepper

    0.5 Tbsp

  • Vegetable oil

Cooking

Soak the chickpeas overnight and boil 50 minutes. Cut the meat into small pieces and fry a little in butter. The onion and pepper finely chop, add to meat. Stir and fry for another 5-7 minutes.

Add the tomato paste and pepper paste (if any). Simmer stirring occasionally for 1-2 minutes.

Add the chickpeas, salt, red pepper, spices. Cover with water and simmer for about 20 minutes under the lid.
