Chickpeas soy caramel
A great alternative to salted nuts.

Ingredients

  • Chickpeas

    100 g

  • Soy sauce

    2 Tbsp

  • Sugar

    1 tsp

  • Peppers red hot chilli

  • Olive oil

    2 Tbsp

1. Chickpeas soak overnight. Then boil until tender.

2. In skillet, heat oil. Add the chickpeas and fry for a few minutes. The chickpeas should turn white.

3. The sugar is mixed with soy sauce, add to pan, stir and fry on slow heat for another couple minutes so that the chickpeas were caramelicious.

4. Add the red pepper and place on a plate. Serve caramelized chickpeas cold.
