Description
Married, are faced with the fact that my husband and I have completely different tastes in food. Love to cook and usually heard only praise... And here, "not very", "is" or even worse "stop your experiments." Salted herring in General is not wanted, and her darling I very much love))) once decided to cook his favorite pickled herring for sooooo ancient recipe. My mom always did all the holidays (and during the week) and lo and behold my man was eating it so that I don't got. Now our house is such a herring in honor... Long been a visitor and lover of this site. I decided to have something to post. And here is the order received on the next portion of the miracle-fish... do Not judge strictly...

Cooking
So let's get started. Take a couple of herrings, defrost (in the photo I only have one-how many were in stock ( ( (). I prefer to work with frozen herring. Cut off the head, disemboweled and cut into pieces of convenient size. Add the pieces of fish in a convenient vessel and cover with salt. Stir and for 2 hours leave in a cool place. (The head I have no one eats, but milt or ROE loves her husband, so salt them along with the fish, and the head-cat.) Salt you can put more or hold longer-then the fish would be more salty...
After 2 hours, rinse the fish pieces under running water.
Carefully pour water out and fill the fish with a mixture of vinegar and water and leave it all for 20 minutes (the original recipe herring is filled with pure vinegar, like 1:1, girl, cooking this recipe makes 1 part vinegar and 2 parts water in General is a good choice. You can still instead of the usual vinegar take Apple cider or wine...)
While the fish is marinating, prepare the onions. Peel a large onion, cut into half rings, put in bowl, add 1-2 tsp sugar and 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar and Luke are doing "massage", like I do with white cabbage salad. Again, the original bow is placed at once with herring and marinated with her all of 20 minutes, but I don't really like...
All. Drain the brine from the herring. Sprinkle the pickled onions and pour vegetable oil to taste. And voila-you can eat... Bon appetit!!! I'm going to cook potatoes for a side dish for fish...
