Onion cakes with spicy sauce
Beautiful thin Chinese pancakes with the flavor of green onions toasted sesame seeds, which are perfectly combined and complemented by garlic-onion sauce.

Ingredients

  • Green onions

    2 coup

  • Salt

  • Vegetable oil

    1 Tbsp

  • Flour

    180 g

  • Water

    120 ml

  • Sesame

    1 Tbsp

  • Soy sauce

    1 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    1 tsp

  • Green onions

    1 Tbsp

  • Garlic

    1 tooth

  • Water

    1 Tbsp

  • Sugar

    1 pinch

Mix the flour, salt and hot water. To replace the dough, cover and put aside for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, chop the whole green onion and prepare the sauce. For sauce, mix onion, crushed garlic, soy sauce (I have the classic Kikkoman), vinegar (I usually take just a Chinese dark) and water.

Divide the dough into 3 equal parts. Roll out tortillas (thin as you can), brush them lightly with vegetable oil.

Spread on the surface of green onion

Roll the tortilla into a tight tube

And then sculpt from that straw spiral

Roll out (again, so subtle as I can) the dough and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Fry in lightly oiled pan not medium heat until the appearance of a bright, rosy spots. Usually about 2-3 minutes on each side.

Serve warm with hot sauce. Very, very tasty scoop the sauce on a crispy tortilla.
