Fried potato patties with sauerkraut
Hearty, fried in a pan cakes made of potato dough with a spicy filling of sauerkraut, apples and bell peppers!

Ingredients

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Pepper

    1 piece

  • Sauerkraut

    300 g

  • Apple

    1 piece

  • Green onions

    2 sprig

  • Greens

    4 sprig

  • Vegetable oil

  • Potatoes

    0.5 kg

  • Flour

    6 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Vegetable oil

Cooking

For the filling: Fry in small amount of vegetable oil finely chopped onion.

Once the onions become Golden, add the chopped bell pepper. Fry all together for 3-4 minutes. Remove from the heat.

In another frying pan, heat a little vegetable oil. On medium heat fry the sauerkraut until I get rid of excess moisture, stirring constantly (5-7 minutes).

Add grated on a fine grater Apple (my sweet "Perry"), stir and stew all together a few moments.

Add chopped green onions and herbs, sauteed onion and bell pepper. Mix well.

Remove from heat, put the finished cabbage stuffing in a bowl, allow to cool.

For the dough: potatoes wash, boil "in uniform", to give a little to cool, peel.

In a bowl, thoroughly mash the hot potatoes in mashed to pieces.

Add the egg, flour, season with salt and pepper to taste. Knead the dough, knead it, propylea surface with flour (dough is slightly sticky).

On the surface, covered with flour, roll out the dough into a "sausage", divide into pieces (I got 9 pieces).

Mash each part of the cake. Work on a constantly-floured surface. Spread the cooled cabbage filling. Take a tortilla in hand and zasiyaet edges, forming a pie. The dough may seem sticky, but working, just pribylev flour surface and hands, this problem disappears. The patties are perfectly molded and keep their shape.

Form all the cakes.

Heat in a pan a little vegetable oil and fry the patties on both sides until Golden brown. Then reduce the fire to minimum and cook the patties until cooked under a lid, turning them periodically.
