Pie with prunes /Torta alle prugne secche
Wonderful homemade cakes! Aromatic, Christmas, delicious, easy to make a cake! Based on the recipe elladkin with LJ, but with my changes.

Ingredients

  • Chicken egg

    4 piece

  • Prunes

    200 g

  • Almonds

    100 g

  • Sugar

    120 g

  • Milk

    200 ml

  • Flour

    300 g

  • Butter

    100 g

  • Leavening agent

    8 g

  • Powdered sugar

  • Lemon juice

  • Orange zest

Nuts crushed in a mortar. Don't need them was a small crumb, let the pieces remain. Separate the whites from the yolks. Melt butter in a water bath. Sift flour with baking powder. Beat the cold(!) the yolks with the sugar until white.

Weight should increase three times.

Pour the melted butter and immediately add flour. Pour in the milk.

All the time to stir.

Chop the prunes(dried fruits), remove the zest from orange and add to the batter along with the nuts.

Mix well.

Whites (room temperature) beat until soft peaks, gradually adding the lemon juice (I squeezed the juice of a quarter lemon) and mix gently with the dough. Movement - bottom up.

Pour into a greased form. Spread the dough across the surface.

Bake in a preheated 200°C oven for about 40 minutes. Readiness check with a toothpick. Gently pull out from the form, cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
